We had a lovely stay in the very comfortable mews cottage. The location was perfect, very near the shops in the centre of town and the Esplanade. Chris was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A really wonderful break and we shall be back.

Words and photos cannot express how delightful this cottage is, it’s just perfect with excellent furnishings and fittings, bed linen and towels that are of the highest quality and it’s equipped with absolutely everything you need for a peaceful stay. Located in the heart of Sidmouth but nicely and quietly tucked away. There’s designated parking which is a real advantage. Our hosts have obviously put a lot of thought, effort and expense in making this the ideal place to stay for a relaxing break, thank you so much and we’ll certainly be coming back in the near future.

Chapel Mews is a little gem, right in the heart of Sidmouth - the perfect location, just a short walk to the sea front or into the town. It was lovely to be able to park the car in the designated car parking spot, and then forget about it for a few days. We were in Sidmouth for the Jazz and Blues Festival, which looks to become a regular annual event, so we had no plans to explore further afield, though next time we could perhaps opt for a longer stay and take in more of the surroundings too. The cottage is beautifully appointed with quality furnishings, fixtures and fittings. You won't find a comfier bed anywhere else and the bedding and towels are all you would hope for. The extra touches are what makes a holiday home extra special, and Chapel Mews does not disappoint. Complimentary chocolates and biscuits etc; plenty of dishwasher tablets and cleaning bits and bobs - all you need in your home from home. And Alexa is on hand to play your favourite music and switch the lights on and off. She didn't pour the prosecco though! Thank you very much, Chris and Wendy, for a lovely stay. We hope we'll see you again!

This is the second time we have stayed at Chapel Mews and I have to say it’s the best place we have ever stayed. It is so clean, it all looks brand new and nothing is out of place! Right in the town centre and a few minutes walk to the lovely shops and cafes. Turn right and within 2 minutes you are on the seafront. Easy access, Chris & Wendy have everything organised and easy car parking right outside. Brilliant place to stay and we will be back for our third stay next year.

We had a lovely relaxing week in 1ChapelMews - we chose it from the description on Airbnb and weren't disappointed. The mews cottage is well appointed in every room, home from home, and very comfortable. We slept well, it's very quiet here, the loudest noise being those pesky seagulls. The location is brilliant - Sidmouth isn't a big town - and with a dedicated parking space (something I always look for) we could walk everywhere. To the shops if you walk slowly takes about 2 minutes and another few minutes to the Esplanade. But walk back and you have absolute peace and quiet again. Chris and Wendy supply a digital guidebook (you obviously get it when you have booked) and it's a thing of beauty - make sure that you read it. If you want to know anything this is the first port of call, but message Chris and Wendy and their replies are very quick and friendly, nothing seems to be too much trouble - true Superhosts!! Good walks are close, just down to the Esplanade then left or right along the coastal path, or if you want a shorter walk down to a coffee shop. Fort café is nice and you have a good sea view inside or out. Being so close to town we tried various restaurants, most you can book online but the Anchor pub around the corner you have to ring. Make sure that you book in advance - Chris and Wendy did warn us of this - the restaurants get booked up. They mostly source ingredients locally, the fish we found was mainly from Brixham. The best meal we had was at Neil's, three course meal for £40 which was a bargain; the Pea Green Boat is good but expensive and a limited menu (sometimes that's a good thing), Dukes on the seafront and the Anchor both more "pubby" but very good. We don't think that you can top 1ChapelMews for quality and location, with excellent hosts. Whats not to like?

We recently had a lovely long weekend in Sidmouth, staying at Chapel Mews. It’s a wonderful historic building that has been completely refurbished. Inside its historic façade, it has a totally modern interior with everything you could wish for, for the perfect break. Super bathroom and kitchen, and lovely touches such as luxury bedding and towels. Can’t fault it, and Chris and Wendy were super helpful with information about the area. We will be going again.

Absolutely Perfect!
Family of 4 stayed for 3 nights and couldn’t have asked for more! Great location, excellent amenities and beautiful house that really did feel like luxury. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone and everyone and will certainly be back in the near future. Thank you for a lovely break!

Had a fantastic week at Chapel Mews! The property is finished to a high standard, was spotlessly clean upon arrival and the kitchen was really well equipped. Great location in the centre of Sidmouth, tucked away behind the seafront and moments walk from shops, pubs and restaurants. Having its own dedicated parking spot right outside the door is a real bonus and Chris was really helpful with guidance on the local area, including things to do and places to eat and drink. The house was ample room for our family of four and the courtyard area was a nice spot to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return in the future.

Great week spent at 1 Chapel Mews. So comfortable for 4 people and close to the beach and town centre it was ideal.

This Mews House was fantastic! Brilliant condition, great location and Chris was extremely helpful and always happy to answer questions. Just a short walk from the sea and the shops. We had a great stay as a family of 4. Would highly recommend.
